What We Do
Tulsa Running Club (TRC) formed in 1970 and is a local nonprofit group unaffiliated with any running stores. It's led by a volunteer board, with a mission to promote running in the Tulsa area.
TRC hosts the Von Franken Family Food Run, an annual Thanksgiving Day tradition to draw donations for Salvation Army and Oklahoma Animal Alliance.
The club hosts the Equalizer 5K, an atypical race that levels the entire participant field with staggered start times based on every age/gender group’s 5K state record.
TRC helps put on St. Patrick's Day Run Tulsa — benefiting Special Olympics Oklahoma and TRC — and coordinates pacers for the Tulsa Run 15K.
It also hosts social runs each month from local establishments and at Turkey Mountain.
