The Von Franken has been a Thanksgiving tradition in Tulsa for almost 40 years.  Started by five women with a spontaneous idea to combine a Thanksgiving morning run and donating food to those in need....and it stuck!

This annual event has no entry fee, just bring a bag of non-perishable food to donate to the Salvation Army and/or a bag of pet food (dogs and cats) for Sapulpa Furry Friends. 

Run/walk starts at 9am but get there early and catch up with friends! Stay after the run to win some awesome swag during the raffle. The best part? Tulsa Running Club cooks up hundreds of pancakes for everyone to enjoy.

Start off your holiday by giving and join your friends for a morning 5K run.  The entire family is welcome, including the four legged ones.

Tulsa newest race gives you a chance to see who is really the fastest runner! Pitting your seasoned veterans against the young whippersnappers, girls vs. boys, it's every runner for themselves in this 5K showdown. With age and sex equalized using Oklahoma State 5K records this race will level the playing field. Don't forget to invite that young speedster or an old pro you've always wanted a crack at!

There is a start time for every age/gender group. For example: 80+ Females will start at 7am, 75-79 Females start at 7:00:27, 80+ Males start at 7:03:53, etc. The complete list of start times will be posted at the race. Be ready! Many groups are only seconds apart. First wave starts at 7:00am.

Be aware of your start time and be in the correct corral 5 mins before your start time. The corrals will be marked by age and gender.

March 2019 will be the 37th Annual St. Patrick’s Run. Last year’s race attracted more than 2,000 runners. This race has a tradition of kicking off the racing season for runners in Oklahoma. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Oklahoma and Tulsa Running Club. In addition to the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run, prizes will be awarded for the runners, door prizes at the event, and prize money for participating schools.
